Guidelines for reviewers
Honest, useful, fair.
Anonymity only works when the writing is rigorous. Five rules keep the database worth reading.
First-hand experience only
Write about interactions you personally had. Second-hand stories, rumours and screenshots from group chats are removed.
Describe behaviour, not people
“Took four weeks to answer a yes-or-no question” is useful. Personal attacks, speculation about someone's character and anything discriminatory are not.
Keep confidential terms out
Never post cap tables, term-sheet specifics covered by an NDA, or anything you agreed to keep private. Rate the behaviour, not the paperwork.
No conflicts of interest
Do not review an investor you work for, compete with as a fund, or have been asked to review by a third party.
Anonymous, not unaccountable
Readers never see who wrote a review, but moderators do. Every account submits founder evidence, every review is read by a human before it publishes, and repeat offenders lose access.
